What is Aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy is the alternative practice of using essential oils from flowers and plants to produce
emotional or physical response in the body.   Essential oils can affect the Olfactory and/or Limbic
systems of the body.

Olfactory System
The process of aromatherapy works by stimulating the olfactory system in the nasal cavity. Your
olfactory system is made up of groups of olfactory nerves which have a direct connection to the body's
limbic system. When essential oils are inhaled, the oils (or combination of oils) stimulates the olfactory
nerves.

Limbic System
Along with your sense of smell, the limbic system is responsible for functions such as behavior, emotion,
and memory. Once the essential oils activate the olfactory nerves in the nasal cavity, the response is
directly sent to the limbic system. Aromatherapy can be used to help disorders that partially stem from
the limbic system, such as depression and anxiety.

Owens Acres Aroma Inhalers
Our inhalers are popular combinations of essentials oils to help with issues concerning either the Mind,
Body, or Soul.  Inhalers are compact, portable and easy to use for adults and even children! They're
non-addictive, and besides smelling great, are helpful for the conditions listed below.  Our inhalers are
made to order, unlike store brands which have been sitting on the shelf for months and years!  We don't
make them, until you order them!  Inhalers will last up to 6 months.  We can do custom blends for other
issues, please email us.
